The River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to recognize the contribution of the Belmont County Medical Society. Mr. C. J. Gavin, Executive Director and Peg Stipetich, Biomedical Director received a check from President Dr. Naba Goswani & Dr. Justito Candari (former treasurer). The BCMS held a costume party as a fundraiser event. The money was received on behalf of the River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross and will be used to support our friends and neighbors of the upper Ohio Valley who are affected by disasters that occur during this fire season. Bragg, Kenneth L., Sr., 74, of Elm Grove died Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born April 20, 1932 in Connellsville, PA. He was the son of the late Earl and Annabelle Hart Bragg. He retired from J. C. Penneys in 1991. Ken was a Marine and Army veteran and retired in 1990 from the WV National Guard 152nd MP Detachment. Ken was honored in 1984 by receiving the “Soldier” of the Year” award. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Lois Jean Kerekes Bragg on August 5, 1990 and his sister, Mary Carr, in June 2006.
Surviving are his children, Robin of Wheeling, Kenneth Jr. (Larry) and wife his wife, Linda of St. Clairsville; grandchildren, Heather and Stephanie Bragg of Warwood, Tori Jackson and her husband, Jeremy of St. Clairsville, Ty Timko and fiancé’ Jill of Pittsburgh; great-grandson, Shane Jackson; dear friend, Pete Barton of McMechen; and several nieces and nephews, all of which he loved very much. He was an avid sports fan and loved flowers and gardening. He also was a life long blood donor. Ken will be sadly missed by all who came to know him.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 from 2-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. , Wheeling, where services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Mr. Bill Holeczy officiating. Interment in Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling. Moundsville Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.

Michael George Boury III died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Duke University Medical Center after a short illness. Mike was born in Wheeling, WV on June 10, 1944 to George Boury and the late Betty (Cook) Boury. He graduated from Greenbrier Military Academy and attended Robert Morris University. Mike’s restaurant career spanned early years at Elby’s in Wheeling, WV and Erie, PA and over another 20 years of owning and supervising four Elby’s Family Restaurants in the Williamsport, PA area. Mike was an active volunteer in his children’s school and church activities, a previous Foster Parent, and volunteer for the American Red Cross. He also enjoyed his membership in the Keystone League in Williamsport, PA. After retiring in 1999, which he always said, “I should have done years earlier,” Mike and Mary moved to Wheeling, WV and recently settled in their new home at 7005 River Estates Drive, Knightdale, North Carolina 27545.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary Ann (Senyo) Boury who he married on September 25, 1971 in Girard, PA. His cherished daughters, Stacey D Boury (Raleigh, NC), Amanda Boury (Raleigh, NC), and Michelle Boury and her husband Brian Shinkle (Philadelphia, PA). His father, George Boury and his wife Nancy (Wheeling, WV). One uncle, Ellis Boury and his wife Jackie (Wheeling, WV). Two sisters, Nancy Padden and her husband Tom (St. Clairsville, OH) and Lynne Moyle and her husband Michael (Pottstown, PA). One brother, Gregg Boury and his wife Tiffany (Wheeling, WV). Nieces and nephews, Mike, Tim, and Aimee Padden, Karin Kidd, Stephanie Edwards, Christine Moyle, Gregory, Michael, and Sienna Senyo, Bethany and Taylor Boury, his wife’s parents Harry and Helen Senyo and numerous extended family members.
Mike was known for his generosity, humor, laugh, family devotion and his love of all animals, especially his four cats: Kit, Boo, Tiger, and Tigger.
He has left a lasting impression on those who had the fortune of meeting him and will be dearly missed by all. Please continue to support his favorite TV shows: Monk, Two and a Half Men, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
